New Year’s Eve party bingo
A bingo game for the countdown. Every guest gets a different board on their phone, full of things that happen at every New Year’s Eve party: a cork hits the ceiling, someone starts the countdown too early, the snacks run out.
Guests tap squares as they happen. The first to complete a line shouts BINGO, and the TV shows the winners. It’s one of the easiest New Year’s Eve party games for adults and families: no app, no sign-up, and paper boards for anyone without a phone.

Questions
- Do guests need to install an app?
- No. Guests scan a QR code on the TV or open the invite link, type their name and get a board in the browser. There are no accounts.
- What if the wifi is bad at the party?
- Each guest only needs a connection once, to open the link. After that their board works without signal.
- How do we check a BINGO?
- The winner shows their BINGO screen to the host’s camera, or reads out a short code. The host screen checks it and adds them to the winners list.
- Can I write my own squares?
- Yes. Add your own prompts, one per line, such as inside jokes about your friends. The game tops up from the built-in list if you don’t write enough.
- Can we play on paper?
- Yes. The host can print paper boards for guests who would rather not use a phone.
