New Year Bingo has no accounts, no cookies and no ads. Your card lives in its link and in your own browser, and we keep no copy of it. This page lists everything the site keeps and every service it uses.
Your card is in its link
When you press Save & share, everything on your card goes into the link itself: the goals, the size, the look (theme, font and marks) and the squares you’ve crossed off. That’s why the link is long. We don’t store the card anywhere else, so the link is the card. Keep it somewhere safe.
Anyone with the link can open the card, so send it to the people you want to see it. Like any web address, it passes through our host, Cloudflare, when it’s opened. If you follow a link from your card to another site, that site sees only newyearbingo.com, never your card’s address.
What your browser keeps
To pick up where you left off, the site saves a few things in your browser’s storage, on your device:
- The card you’re making, so a reload or a closed tab doesn’t lose it.
- The link to the last card you shared, so the home page can take you back to it.
- A short fingerprint of each card you saved, not the card itself, so your own card opens as yours.
- The color theme you picked.
- At a party: a guest’s card, name and marks, and the host’s last game and its winners.
- A copy of the site’s own files, so it opens without a connection.
None of it is a cookie. To remove it all, clear this site’s data in your browser’s settings.
Party games stay on the phones
Party Bingo runs without a server. The whole game is in the invite link, each guest’s card is made on their own phone, and the host’s screen checks a winner’s code by itself. A guest’s name, if they type one, goes only into their own link and the code they show the host.
When the host scans a winner’s code with the camera, the picture stays on the host’s device.
Services the site uses
- Cloudflare hosts the site, so every visit passes through its servers, as with any website.
- Google Fonts serves every card font but the default, so when a card is in one of those, your browser asks Google for it. The request names the font, never your goals.
Nobody else gets anything from the site, and we never sell anything about you.
