Vision board bingo: a 2027 vision board you can win

Vision board bingo, or a bingo vision board, puts your hopes for 2027 on a bingo card. Each square holds one thing you’d love to do, with a picture if you like. When it happens, you mark the square. A full row, column or diagonal is a bingo.

You keep the fun part of a vision board, the dreaming and the pictures, and add a way to see the year move. Make yours in a few minutes, then print it or keep it on your phone.

Vision board or bingo card: what’s the difference?

A vision board shows how you want the year to feel. A bingo card lists things you can do. Vision board bingo mixes the two: a goal in each square, and a picture to go with it.

If a vision board has ever hung on your wall while the year went by, a bingo card gives it a job. You still get to dream big. You also get a reason to look at it again in March.

How to make a vision board bingo card in five steps

  1. 1Pick a sizeChoose 9, 16 or 25 squares. A 3×3 card fills fast and gets you a bingo sooner. A 5×5 card is the classic bingo vision board, and many people make the middle square a free one.
  2. 2Choose your life areasPick three to five parts of your life, like health, home, work, people and fun. Give each a few squares, and mix in easy ones so no line is all hard goals.
  3. 3Turn each wish into a squareWrite something you can mark as done. “Feel calmer” is a wish. “Try a meditation class” is a square. Keep each one to a few words.
  4. 4Add the picturesOn paper, draw a doodle, glue in a cut-out or add a sticker next to each goal. In the card maker, pick a theme and a font that feel like your year.
  5. 5Keep it where you’ll see itPrint it for the fridge or a planner, or keep the link on your phone. Mark squares as they happen, and look at the whole card once a month.

Host a vision board bingo night

Vision board bingo is more fun in a group. Friends, a book club, a team or a library program can all make their cards in one sitting, and a goal you’ve said out loud is harder to forget.

At home, put out snacks, old magazines and glue. For a group, use the 45-minute plan and the printable idea sheet below.

What you need

  • One idea sheet per person. It prints on two pages, or on both sides of one sheet of paper.
  • One blank card per person. Print them from the free 2027 bingo card templates, or let people make their cards on their phones.
  • Pens and markers, plus stickers, old magazines, scissors and glue sticks for the pictures.
  • A timer, and some quiet music for the filling-in part.

The 45-minute plan

  1. 0:00WelcomeExplain it in one breath: a card of things you might do in 2027, a picture for each, and a full line is a bingo. Hand out the idea sheets and blank cards.
  2. 0:05The free squareEveryone fills the middle square first, with something they already do and want to keep. It gets the pens moving.
  3. 0:10Fill the squaresPeople pick from the idea sheet or write their own. Suggest a mix of two or three big dreams and lots of small wins. Walk around and help anyone who is stuck.
  4. 0:25Add the picturesDraw, cut, glue or stick a picture next to each goal. Anyone making their card on a phone can pick a theme and a font instead.
  5. 0:35Share in pairsEach person shows their card to a partner and reads out one square they’re excited about. Partners can swap an idea or two.
  6. 0:42Take it homeEveryone takes a photo of their card. Pick a date to meet again and compare lines, like the first week of July.

Want to see each other’s marks during the year? Make the cards in the free card maker instead of on paper. Each card becomes a link. Post the links in your group chat, and when someone marks a goal, they save and post the new link.

Questions

What is vision board bingo?
It’s a vision board shaped like a bingo card. Each square holds one goal for the year, often with a picture. You mark squares as they happen, and a full row, column or diagonal is a bingo.
How is it different from a vision board?
A vision board is pictures of how you want life to feel. A bingo vision board turns that into things you can do and mark, so you can see your progress. Many people keep the pictures and add a goal to each one.
How many squares should it have?
The classic card is 5×5: 25 squares, often with a free one in the middle. If 25 feels like a lot, start with 3×3. Nine squares fill quickly, and a bingo comes sooner.
Can I add photos to the squares?
The card maker holds words, not photos. For pictures, print your card and draw or glue them on, or start from a blank paper card.
Can I make one on my phone?
Yes. Pick a size, type your goals, choose a theme and a font, and press Save & share. Your card becomes a link you can keep, print or send. It’s free, with no sign-up.
How long does a vision board bingo night take?
About 45 minutes: a welcome, a free square to warm up, 15 minutes to fill the card, 10 for pictures, and a few minutes to share. The plan and a two-page idea sheet are on this page.
When should I make my card?
Any time. Many people make theirs between Christmas and mid-January, but a card made in March still has most of the year ahead.
